About Us

Hi there!

I'm Savannah Harris, and along with my husband Adam, we are the proud owners of Nurse's Nectar Coffee Company!

With over a decade of experience working in diverse healthcare environments including EMS and emergency departments (with one being a pediatric Level 1 trauma center), we possess a shared passion for healthcare and coffee. We hold a profound respect for the tireless efforts and unwavering commitment of healthcare professionals.

Being entrepreneurs, we are always on the lookout for creative business ideas that make a positive impact in the world. This is how we came up with Nurse's Nectar Coffee Company, a nurse-themed coffee company that celebrates and supports the amazing individuals who are making a difference in peoples' lives every day.

At Nurse's Nectar Coffee Company, we believe that a warm cup of joe can bring comfort and joy to someone's day, as well as also being an essential part of getting you through a 12-hour shift!

We are passionate about serving people and we believe that the combination of coffee and healthcare is the perfect way to do just that. So, if you love coffee and you’re a nurse, love nurses, or work in healthcare then come join us on this exciting journey and try some of our premium artisan coffee!

How do you properly store coffee?

The ideal storage conditions for coffee depend on the type of coffee. For long-term storage, it's recommended to keep all coffee between 50 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit with a humidity level of 30 to 50 percent. It's best to store coffee in a dry place away from water and sunlight. To maintain freshness, roasted coffee beans and ground coffee should be stored in an airtight container. Roasted coffee beans can retain their flavor for up to a year if unopened, or up to two years in the freezer. However, the flavor will start to diminish over time. Once opened, roasted beans or ground coffee should be consumed within a week to ensure the best flavor. Therefore, purchasing smaller amounts of coffee is recommended instead of buying larger packages.
